Back to Jesus Alone

******************************************************************************

Vision:  We embrace Christ’s kingdom – His presence and fullness – here at Christ Center!

Today: When the battle is hard, the circumstances bleak, the heart troubled, let’s go back to Jesus alone!

  1. & John 15:4-5. NASU  4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing

  2. & Psalm 46:10a. NIV  "Be still, and know that  I  am God;…”

  3. & John 17:22-24. NASU   22 "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;  23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”

  4. & Philippians 1:21.NASU  For to me, to live is Christ [to live] and to die is gain.

  5. & Ephesians 2:4-7. NASU  4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

  6. & Colossians 3:1-4. NASU  1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2  Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

  7. & John 14:18-2O. NASU  18 "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.  19 After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.  20 In that day [i.e., after the resurrection] you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

  8. & Galatians 2:20. NASU  20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

  9. & Colossians 1:27. NASU  27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

10. & Colossians 2:2. NASU  2 … that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself, …

11. & Philippians 4:13. NASU  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

12. & Colossians 3:12-13. TLB  12 Since you have been chosen by God who has given you this new kind of life, and because of his deep love and concern for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others. Don't worry about making a good impression on them, but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently. 13 Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Communion: Jesus, be the center. I draw near to You alone. “I in You, and You in me.” You are enough!
