BELIEFS
Mission Statement
The mission of Christ Center Community Church is to open the door to the full Lordship of Jesus Christ by becoming fully devoted to Him and sharing His heart for people.
We are both a Bible-based and a Spirit-empowered fellowship of believers who seek the full enthronement of Jesus Christ in our lives and church. Click on the following links to learn more:
What We Teach
Christ Center has a number of additional interesting teachings which are distinctive in
the way we nurture maturity and serve Christ together:
Church Life
- Why Become a Christian – The plan of Salvation, plain and simple.
- Why Baptism – The Biblical overview of this ordinance which Christ gave the church
- Why Communion – How we regard and celebrate the Lord’s Table at Christ Center
- Why Generous Biblical Giving – What the New Testament teaches about Christian stewardship
- Why Membership – Biblical perspective, e.g., how the New Testament supports the idea of membership, e.g., commitment to a local church partnership.
- Why Membership – Reasons for making a commitment of a local fellowship of Christ-followers.
Leadership and Vision
- Why Pastoral Leadership – How to understand the role of local church pastors, and how to relate to pastors biblically.
- Why a “Pleromic” Church – As a Pleromic (lit. “fullness”) Church, we are both evangelical and charismatic. This is an historical perspective of the personal journey of Pastor David Niquette.
- Why Pleromic Unity – Draft copy. An extended discussion of the healing principles that address the Evangelical / Charismatic division in the church. Christ Center has been a successful “laboratory” for demonstrating such “Pleromic unity.” Comments are welcomed. Email: david@christcenter.cc
- Biblical Character – A guide for all maturing Christians, and especially elders and deacons.
- Spirit-led Decision Making – How we determine the mind of Christ.
- Venture Ministries – Our encouragement of new ministry initiatives of our members.
- Why a City Church – Understanding our connection to the broader body of Christ in Northern Colorado.
- Maturing Christian Youth – How we envision bringing maturity to the emerging generation.
Identity and Strategy
We are laying a biblical foundation for our renewed purpose. We want to become excellent in these priorities as a way of loving, pleasing and serving Jesus. We will organize and direct resources to becoming a healthy body of believers. When Christ is central, and our loving relationship with Him deepens, the church (bride of Christ) will once again be radiant and attractive to a world in darkness and despair. Healthy churches grow.
We also believe that “being” and “doing” go hand in hand. We want to start by loving God with all our heart, and then by loving our neighbor as ourselves. This involves action. Each of the imperatives require wise strategies for effectiveness. While the imperatives are narrowly defined by the revealed will of God in Scripture, the strategies we may adopt as a church family are many. We are in an exciting adventure as a church, building on the foundation of the “Five Rocks,” an effective ministry in our town and our world. Come join the adventure!
